Interior & Exterior Residential Painting

Your Home, Repainted. Your Way.

Your home should feel like you. The colours on your walls, the finish on your trim, the way light moves through a freshly painted room — these things matter more than most people give them credit for. When it's right, you feel it the moment you walk through the door.

At Bright Painting, we've spent over a decade transforming homes across Toronto, Etobicoke, Vaughan, Pickering, and the wider GTA — one room at a time, one careful brushstroke at a time. Frotan and his team bring a level of craft and attention to detail that shows in every corner, every edge, and every finished surface. We don't just paint walls. We prep them properly, treat them with care, and leave your home cleaner than we found it.

From a single bedroom refresh to a full-home repaint, from trim and molding to ceilings, doors, and feature walls — we handle it all. We work with premium paints from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, and PPG, and where walls need patching or drywall repair before a single drop of paint goes on, we take care of that too. Need wallpaper removed before we start? That's covered as well.

Every project begins with a conversation. We listen to what you want, walk you through colour and finish options, and give you a straight, honest quote — no surprises, no runaround. Just clean, professional work delivered on time.

The difference shows. And it lasts. Serving homeowners across Toronto, North York, Richmond Hill, Markham, Whitby, and the GTA. Request your free estimate today.

Interior Painting Services

Walls

The foundation of any room. We paint bedroom walls, living room walls, hallways, kitchens, bathrooms — any interior wall surface in your home. Proper prep is everything: we fill nail holes and imperfections, sand surfaces smooth, and apply premium paint in your choice of finish. Whether you're refreshing a single room or repainting an entire floor, we work cleanly and efficiently, protecting your floors and furniture throughout. If there's drywall damage that needs repair before painting begins, we handle that too — patching, taping, mudding, and sanding so the finished wall is flawless.

Ceilings

Ceilings get neglected until they're noticeably dingy — and by then, they're dragging down the look of the entire room. We repaint ceilings to a crisp, clean finish that brightens your space and makes everything feel taller and fresher. Popcorn ceiling? We can remove it entirely before repainting, giving you smooth, modern ceilings that won't date your home. Ceiling work requires precision — uneven coverage, lap marks, and drips are painfully obvious under the right light. We take the time to do it properly so you get a uniform, professional finish that disappears into the architecture the way it should.

Trim & Doors

Trim, baseboards, crown molding, window casings, and doors take more wear than walls — and they're also what your eye notices first when you walk into a room. We paint all interior trim and door surfaces with the same attention to detail we bring to cabinetry: proper sanding, priming, and smooth topcoat application in the sheen that works best for each surface. Semi-gloss and satin finishes are standard for trim because they're durable and easy to clean, but we'll walk you through the options during your consultation. Fresh trim makes a bigger visual impact than most homeowners expect — it's one of the fastest ways to make a home feel polished and well-maintained.

Feature Walls & Accent Walls

A single bold wall can completely change the energy of a room. Whether it's a deep charcoal accent wall in a living room, a rich navy behind a bed, a soft sage in a nursery, or a textured finish in a dining space, we help bring your vision to life. Feature walls are about precision — the edges need to be crisp, the coverage needs to be flawless, and the colour needs to be exactly right. We take the time to tape properly, cut clean lines, and deliver a finish that looks intentional, not experimental. If you're considering a feature wall but aren't sure which wall or which colour, we're happy to offer guidance based on your space and lighting.

Stairways & Staircases

Stairways are one of the most challenging areas to paint well — angles, spindles, railings, risers, and awkward access all add complexity. We paint stairway walls, handrails, balusters, newel posts, and risers with care and precision, working safely and methodically to ensure every surface is covered evenly. If your staircase has wood elements that need staining or varnishing instead of paint, we handle that as well. Stairs are high-traffic, high-visibility areas — a sloppy paint job here is impossible to ignore. We treat stairways with the same level of craft we'd bring to any feature of your home.

Full-Home Repaints

When it's time to repaint the entire house — whether you've just moved in, you're preparing to sell, or you're simply ready for a complete refresh — Bright Painting handles the whole project from top to bottom. Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, closets, hallways, stairways — everything. We work room by room or floor by floor depending on your preference and your timeline, keeping disruption to a minimum and your home livable throughout the process. A full-home repaint is a significant project, and it requires organization, consistency, and a team that shows up when they say they will. That's exactly what Frotan and his crew deliver on every job — across Toronto, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Whitby, Ajax, and throughout the GTA.

Exterior Painting & Staining

Your home's exterior takes a beating. Toronto winters, spring rain, summer sun, fall humidity — the GTA climate doesn't go easy on paint, stain, or wood. Over time, finishes fade, peel, crack, and fail. Left too long, that's not just an aesthetic problem — it's a protection problem. Water gets in. Wood rots. Siding deteriorates. The longer you wait, the more expensive the fix becomes.

At Bright Painting, we treat exterior painting as both craft and protection. The goal isn't just to make your home look better — it's to protect your investment and extend the life of your siding, trim, and wood surfaces for years to come.

House Exteriors & Siding

We paint all types of exterior siding — wood, vinyl, aluminum, cement board, stucco, and composite materials. Every surface gets properly cleaned, scraped, sanded, and primed where needed before any topcoat goes on. Peeling or failing paint is removed. Caulking and sealing around windows, doors, and seams is addressed. We use exterior-grade paints specifically formulated to withstand Canadian weather — products that flex with temperature swings, resist moisture penetration, and hold their colour through years of sun exposure. The result is a finish that protects as well as it performs, keeping your home sealed tight and looking sharp season after season.

Trim, Fascia & Soffits

Exterior trim, fascia boards, and soffits are the most vulnerable parts of your home's exterior — constantly exposed to rain, snow, and ice with no overhead protection. We pay particular attention to these areas, ensuring every edge is properly sealed and every surface is coated with durable, weather-resistant paint. Rotted or damaged wood is identified during the estimate so you know what needs repair before painting begins. Clean, well-maintained trim doesn't just look good — it's your home's first line of defense against water intrusion and pest entry.

Decks & Deck Staining

A properly stained deck can last 15 to 20 years. A neglected one starts to rot, splinter, and fail within five. We've stained decks across Scarborough, Etobicoke, Uxbridge, Bowmanville, and throughout the GTA — cedar, pressure-treated pine, composite — and the process is always the same: thorough cleaning, sanding where necessary, and application of premium wood stain or varnish that penetrates deep and seals the surface. We work with transparent, semi-transparent, and solid stains depending on the look you're after and the condition of the wood. Deck staining isn't just cosmetic — it's what keeps your outdoor space usable and safe for your family year after year.

Fences & Wood Staining

Fences take more direct weather exposure than almost any other part of your property. We stain and paint wood fences, privacy fences, and decorative railings using products designed to withstand moisture, UV exposure, and the freeze-thaw cycles that crack and peel inferior finishes. Whether you want a natural wood tone, a semi-transparent stain that highlights the grain, or a solid colour that matches your home's exterior palette, we'll walk you through the options and deliver a finish that lasts. A well-maintained fence doesn't just look better — it lasts longer and saves you the cost of premature replacement.

Built for Toronto Weather

Every exterior project we take on is treated with one non-negotiable standard: it has to survive a GTA winter. That means premium materials, proper surface prep, adequate dry time between coats, and finishes that are rated for Canadian climates — not the cheaper, southern-climate products that fail within a year. We don't cut corners on prep, and we don't use budget paint on exteriors. The few hundred dollars saved upfront isn't worth the peeling, blistering mess you'll be dealing with two years later.

If your home's exterior is starting to look tired, or if it's been more than five to seven years since the last paint job, now's the time to address it — before minor wear turns into costly repairs.

Interior & Exterior Painting FAQs

How much time do you spend on prep work?

As much as it takes to get the job done right. Prep isn't something we rush through to get to the painting faster — it's the foundation of a finish that lasts. For most interior projects, prep accounts for 40-50% of the total timeline. That includes filling nail holes and imperfections, sanding surfaces smooth, repairing any drywall damage, taping edges and trim, and protecting your floors, furniture, and fixtures with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. If your walls need more extensive repair — cracks, holes, water damage — we handle that before any paint goes on. Cutting corners on prep is where bad paint jobs happen. We don't cut corners.

What paint brands do you use?

We work exclusively with premium, professional-grade paints from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, and PPG — the same brands trusted by top contractors and designers across the GTA. These aren't the paints you find at big-box stores. They're formulated for better coverage, richer colour, superior durability, and longer-lasting finishes. In most cases, premium paint covers in one or two coats where cheaper alternatives need three or four — which saves time, reduces waste, and delivers better results. We'll recommend the specific product line that makes the most sense for each room based on traffic, moisture, and the finish you're after. You're not paying for budget materials with Bright Painting — you're getting the best products available.

Are the paints you use low-VOC or safe for families with kids and pets?

Yes. We prioritize low-VOC and zero-VOC paints whenever possible, especially for interior projects in homes with children, pets, or anyone with sensitivities to strong odours or chemicals. VOCs — volatile organic compounds — are what cause that harsh paint smell and can contribute to headaches, dizziness, and indoor air quality issues during and after painting. Modern premium paints from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams have come a long way in reducing or eliminating VOCs without sacrificing performance or durability. Most of our interior projects use paints that are safe to be around during application and safe to occupy immediately after the job is complete. If you have specific concerns or sensitivities, let us know during the estimate and we'll recommend the best options for your household.

How long does an interior painting project typically take?

It depends on the scope, but here are some general timelines: a single bedroom usually takes one day, a living room or master bedroom takes one to two days, and a full main floor (living room, dining room, kitchen, hallway) typically takes three to five days. A whole-home interior repaint — walls, ceilings, trim, and doors across multiple floors — usually runs one to two weeks depending on the size of the house and how much prep work is required. We'll give you a clear, honest timeline during the estimate so you know exactly what to expect. We also work efficiently without sacrificing quality — our teams show up on time, work a full day, and clean up at the end of each session so your home stays livable throughout the project.

Do you move furniture, or do we need to clear the rooms first?

We handle the lighter furniture — chairs, side tables, lamps, decor — and move it to the center of the room or out of the way so we can access walls, trim, and ceilings. Larger, heavier pieces like beds, dressers, sofas, and entertainment units are easier and safer if you can move them ahead of time, but if that's not possible, we'll work around them and shift them carefully as needed. Everything that stays in the room gets covered and protected with drop cloths and plastic sheeting. If you're doing a full-home repaint and need help coordinating furniture logistics between rooms, just let us know during the planning phase and we'll work out a schedule that makes sense. The goal is to make this as easy on you as possible while keeping your belongings safe and your home protected.
